Augill Castle is an exciting place to stay for a new breed of guest looking for authentic and genuine hospitality: unstuffy, informal but decadently comfortable. We serve lazy breakfasts, scrumptious afternoon teas and delicious, hearty, comforting dinners and suppers.
But most of all we give you the chance to feel rooted, to belong, to feel comfortable, relaxed and unburdened by the world outside. We are somewhere completely different from the norm, creating unique stays for unique guests. Anything goes at Augill Castle other than hushed tones and false formality.
The castle has inspired two novels – Undressed For Dinner, Lakeland Book of the Year 2014 and Stop For Breakfast, published October 2016.
