We would like to introduce you to the Fifth Oldest Golf Club the Royal Musselburgh. Our history dates back to 1774 and for our first 150 years, the (Royal) Musselburgh club played over the Old Course at Musselburgh Race Course and was part of its growth to nine holes by 1870. The Royal Musselburgh is famous for, The Old Club Cup the fourth oldest trophy and still being the oldest cup still competitively played for in the world. Royal Musselburgh has the world’s original hole cutter which In 1829 became the standard hole in golf and is still the same today.
